Course Overview
Acute kidney injury (AKI) and renal dysfunction are common—and often dangerous—challenges in critical care. These conditions require nuanced clinical decision-making, rapid intervention and precise medication management. This module empowers clinicians to recognize AKI in ICU patients using KDIGO guidelines, choose appropriate renal replacement therapy (RRT), and adjust drug dosing in real time based on renal function and dialysis modality.
Through real-world case studies and expert instruction from Creighton University faculty, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to make timely, evidence-based decisions in high-acuity settings.
