Course Overview

Endocrine emergencies are rare but high-risk events that demand swift, informed intervention. This course provides a comprehensive, clinically grounded approach to managing diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), hyperglycemic hyperosmolar state (HHS), thyroid storm and myxedema coma—four of the most critical metabolic conditions seen in acute care. From fluid resuscitation and insulin regimens to hormone replacement and cardiovascular support, you'll learn how to deliver life-saving care when minutes matter.

Through real-world case studies and expert instruction from Creighton University faculty, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to make timely, evidence-based decisions in high-acuity settings.
