Heather Swadley is a scholar of disability and health law whose research explores how medical concepts shape the relationship between people with disabilities and state institutions. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in leading journals, including Journal of Women, Politics & Policy, Nebraska Law Review, Oklahoma Law Review, UCLA Disability Law Journal and Temple Law Review. She brings a multidisciplinary background in law, ethics, policy and social justice, preparing learners to lead thoughtfully and responsibly.

No. A law degree is not required, and neither is standardized testing such as the LSAT or GRE. This certificate is open to professionals from a variety of backgrounds who are looking to better understand the intersection of law and healthcare.
