Full course description

This course will examine trends in healthcare innovation including emerging technology, treatment options, and business practices, and will consider the way in which the law interacts with these innovations. Business, legal and risk management issues faced by healthcare leaders are also explored. 


Instructor

Amy Bagge-Smith, JD is General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for Zus Health, Inc., a digital healthcare startup. She handles all types of legal issues across many different areas of law in her role as in-house counsel, with a specialization in healthcare regulations, information privacy and security, and technology transactions. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa.  

 

Course Outline

Legal Issues in Healthcare Innovation and Leadership consists of 6 modules that will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours each to complete. Total course commitment is 8 hours over 2 weeks.
