A multidisciplinary review of basic concepts and cutting edge advances in orthopedics designed for all providers that care for patients with musculoskeletal issues.

Objectives:

    • Discuss the importance of nutrition related to orthopedic trauma. 
    • Explore advancements in cartilage restoration. 
    • Determine clinical and laboratory testing as it relates to knee arthroscopy and return to sport.
    • Identify strategies to treat complications in arthroplasty procedures.    
    • Describe the connection with discharge planning in elective orthopedic surgeries and hospital utilization management.  
    • Review updates in scoliosis management and treatment options. 
    • Recognize spine health considerations related to exercise and sports performance. 
    • Compare the types of meniscus tears and repair strategies
    • Explain thumb arthroplasty and therapy’s role in recovery.  
    • Differentiate between lateral elbow tendinopathy and common differential diagnoses.
    • Examine Lisfranc injuries.
