Introduction

Now in its 16th year, this seminar addresses more advanced areas of juvenile court practice. This year’s seminar will focus upon improving litigation skills, and includes panel presentations on the prosecution and defense of adjudications in juvenile proceedings. In addition, the seminar will offer a combined presentation by Project Harmony and law enforcement to help practitioners understand and respond to the challenging problem of human trafficking.

We are also honored to welcome Chief Justice Michael Heavican to the seminar, who will share his views on what the appellate courts look for in appeals from juvenile proceedings.

This seminar is co-sponsored by the Guardian ad Litem Project, Inc., a Nebraska non-profit corporation, Creighton University School of Law, and Creighton University Office of Continuing Education.

Refund Policy

Continuing education and professional development courses may be cancelled by the attendee in writing up to 7 days before the course begins for a full refund, less a $25 processing fee. No refund will be given 7 days prior to the course. Some courses are not eligible for a refund; these exceptions are noted in specific course descriptions. If a course is cancelled by the University for non-weather related issues, the student will be notified and a full refund will be processed. In the event of a weather related closure, the course will be rescheduled.
